How To Be Smart In a World Of Dumb People
Not the cute type of honesty, where I point a piece of broccoli stuck between your teeth. I am talking about the straight punch to the face kind of honesty.
You are DUMB!
I see you coming..
You’re telling yourself: “who does he think he is, to call me dumb?”
Honestly, I wasn’t dumb like you.
I was worse than that, really DULL-WITTED!
Until one day, something happened. Through the never-ending grey days, my mind kept running toward the clouds.
Continuously catching speed, and the higher it climbed, the less oxygen was available. It kept going up, until finally getting breathless.
I woke up sweating, I couldn’t tell if it was a dream or a reality, I felt my throat so tight and I know, now, for sure, that I hated that feeling, so much that I made myself a promise; I will NEVER live through other people’s standards again. This is MY LIFE!
I started researching, experimenting and looking for solutions, until it paid off. I got a 180° marvelous positive switch from the book My Philosophy For Successful Living by Jim Rohn.
Sharing the notion with you is meaningful to me, because you’ll look at life through a different pair of shades.
Thus, protecting your optic in a world where the UV rays are getting furthermore destructive.
The Zen Of Being Stuck Up
I’ve been there before; I know exactly how you’re feeling. I was probably worse than most of you.
Perhaps, you’re sick and tired of your situation. You’ve been stuck up for a while and looking for a way out.
Getting out of this vicious circle is totally draining. You’re not living to your aspirations, and the pressure keeps controlling you.
You feel helpless, behind of time and bills and life’s falling apart.
Most of the stars you see in the sky are totally dead and living in the past.
Looking in the mirror, you feel the same way. The star you’ve imagined yourself to be during youth is officially lifeless.
You look for solutions, but get dispirited before implementing them. You think successful people are lucky or had better circumstances, and consider life unfair.
Thus, you feel like a failure, a total loser.
It seems too late to change right?
You’re getting old now, or you’re not smart enough!

Perhaps; you’re not doing so badly. You have your shit together, but aren’t satisfied. You are in college or have a good job, but something feels wrong.
Either your job is boring, or you’re uncertain about the chosen college program, and feel totally stuck up in your position.
You think it is OK for now, but can’t live like this your whole life.

It is quite simple, but hard to profoundly understand. Being stuck up in that position grants you with a WHY.
Feeling exhausted makes you continuously think about your situation.
The WHY can either build you, or destroy you. Channeling it to motivation is the main goal!

What do you think about all day?
My friend, it’s what you attract to your life. Your thoughts materialize themselves through your everyday actions.

Look at your mind as a factory. Each thought going through it as an ingredient.
At the end of the day, the quality of your product depends on the quality of the ingredients.
I truly believe that success is not only about money. I am only illustrating money as a measurable unit.
Let’s suppose you are paid $13 per hour as a customer service agent. Taking the exhausting everyday work in consideration, you think deserving more.
You might be right, but evil life has other plans. You’re market value depends on your knowledge.
Instead of crying about injustice, be more valuable. Don’t expect being paid $30 per hour if your knowledge doesn’t act in accordance.
If you bring 30 000$ a year for a company, why would they pay you a higher amount?
Whether you’re a salesman, a housekeeper, a businessman or a lawyer, you have a market worth.
Craving a promotion?
Instead of working hard at your job, work hard on yourself.

Working hard on your job will earn you a living, working hard on yourself will earn you a fortune.
Seek knowledge by reading books, going to classes, attending seminars and by reading articles like this one.
Get out of your comfort zone and experiment. The skills and knowledge acquired will make you valuable beyond belief.
Highly successful people have the continuous thirst to learn, and if you don’t, someone else will!
This brings us to the next point.

I said WHO, not WHAT.
I repeat, success is something you attract by the person you become.
Thus, finding your passion is instrumental, bringing harmonious melody to your life.

I understand, you have bills to pay, kids to feed and obligations to fulfill.
We all have obligations. Continue working on your living (Job) full-time, and on your passion (Fortune) part- time.
If you don’t have the time, then you are not devoted to start feeling alive.
You have other priorities.
You know why?
Because we find time for the things we truly want!
Perhaps, you won’t because you are SCARED! Be honest with yourself.
Buried down profoundly inside, we all have hidden fears, dreams, desires, and hatreds and occasionally, those emotions show up.
The only fear you should have in this life is fear itself.
